The formula
The next 3 months are confrontation training.
You are not just clearing tasks. You are rebuilding your nervous system.
Use this formula
I noticed[truth]
I need[clear ask]
Can we[next step / deadline]?
Example
"I noticed we haven't confirmed the payment timeline yet. I need clarity so I can plan the next steps properly. Can we confirm whether this will be cleared by Thursday?"
Not this
Over-explaining why you need it
Not this
An emotional essay about how it made you feel
Not this
Apologizing for having a boundary

Rules of engagement
The operating constraints that keep the system honest.
1
Max 3 tasks per day: confrontation, momentum, life.
More than three is a wish list. Three is a commitment. The limit forces you to choose what actually matters today.
2
1–2 pass days per week are allowed.
Rest is not failure. Forcing through every day breaks the habit faster than rest does.
3
On a pass day, the confrontation can be with yourself.
Rest intentionally. Say no to overworking. Turning inward still counts as using the system.
4
No vague tasks. Every task needs a smallest action.
Vague tasks feel big and stay undone. A smallest action feels possible. Keep the next step feeling possible.
5
No late-night emotional sends.
Draft at night. Send the next day. Emotion fades overnight — clarity stays.
6
If you feel panic, lower the difficulty. Do not delete the action.
Panic means the task is real. Shrinking it keeps the loop alive. Deleting it is avoidance pretending to be pragmatism.
Default scripts
Language for the moments you freeze. Copy, adapt, send.
Delayed payment
Hey — I noticed [payment / invoice] hasn't come through. I need [amount] by [date]. Can we sort this today?
Vague response / no reply
I want to make sure we're aligned. Can you confirm [the specific thing] by [date]? A yes or no works.
Saying no
I can't take this on right now. I want to be straight with you rather than overcommit and underdeliver.
Owning a mistake
I got this wrong. [What happened, plainly.] Here's what I'm doing to fix it: [one action]. Update by [date].
Setting a deadline
I need a decision on [thing] by [date]. If I don't hear back I'll assume [default] and proceed.
The identity shift
You are not becoming confrontational. You are becoming clear. Clarity is what people with good relationships do. Avoidance is what erodes them.
Month 1 — Build the loop
The only job this month is to do the three steps every day until they're automatic.
Daily intention
"Strip the truth. Name one task and the fear underneath it. Send one small action. Schedule the next check. That's the whole job today."
Week reflection
How many days did I complete the loop? Where did I stop short? What avoidance pattern am I noticing?
Month close
What loop am I proud of closing? What am I still circling? What do I want Month 2 to feel like?
Month 2 — Stop tolerating patterns
The loop is built. Now use it to name what you've been letting slide.
Daily intention
"Ask for the decision. Set the deadline. Stop softening every request into a suggestion. If you already know the answer, say it."
Week reflection
Where did I soften when I should have been clear? What did I tolerate this week that I said I wouldn't?
Month close
What pattern did I actually break? What's still following me into Month 3?
Month 3 — Lead with clarity
Stop reacting. Start setting conditions before situations force it.
Daily intention
"Set the expectation before the situation forces it. Clear is kind. Avoidance is expensive."
Week reflection
Where did I set expectations early? Where did I wait too long and create an emergency?
Month close — 90-day review
Who am I now that I've done this for 90 days? What confrontation changed something real?
